Terms and service boundaries
Plain-language boundaries for this website and every Spec Audit. Last updated July 28, 2026.
Governing scope
Each engagement is governed by a signed scope of work naming one product family, product category, or qualification path; one U.S. and English context; one buyer role; the agreed questions and sources; timing; review responsibilities; exclusions; and deliverables.
Price and payment
The founding Spec Audit price is $1,500 for the first three customers, paid 100% upfront. No work begins until the scope of work is signed and payment is received. Any later or custom service is separately scoped and priced.
No guaranteed outcomes
FlatAEC does not guarantee search rankings, AI citations, product specifications, leads, pipeline, revenue, shortlist inclusion, project award, or any other commercial outcome.
Professional boundaries
FlatAEC does not provide engineering, architecture, legal, code-compliance, certification, safety, or project-fitness determinations. A deliverable organizes and evaluates evidence; it does not certify the product or replace a qualified professional judgment.
Client responsibility
The client names a qualified technical approver and owns the final technical, legal, engineering, code, certification, and compliance accuracy of any published claim. Review rounds longer than two business days pause the seven-business-day delivery clock.
Confidentiality
Client-provided material is treated as confidential and is not republished without written permission. Protected, export-controlled, personal, trade-secret, or restricted material must not be submitted for public use.
Corrections and disputes
Questions or correction requests can be sent to [email protected]. Valid corrections to a public observation are applied with a visible revision note under the corrections and evidence policy.
Legal review status
These plain-language terms reflect the intended founding offer. Qualified counsel should review them before a public commercial launch.
